After the long dark windy night, the pink Belt of Venus rounds the Earth and hugs it.
A processional for the vernal Sun.
Tiny clouds burst into bright oranges and yellows,
Extinguishing the blacks, purples and blues of the desert darkness.
The specks begin to glow white hot from the flames flickering just below the horizon.
Embers blown bright by celestial bellows.
A cold breeze cuts through me.
My soul aches to be stoked, stoked with life, with energy, with heat.
Oh look at that!
Gold-like sparks scatter as the sun almost crests.
Trees, rocks, scrub come into sharp focus, backlit by so much light.
These shadows will soon disappear, erased by the coming fire.
I gasp. I hold my breath. God it’s amazing!
And just like that,
The flames pour over the edge.
Washing over my face,
Warming my skin, my bones, my soul.
The rays awaken ancestors, children, souls yet to come.
Creative passions, spiritual rebirth, new beginnings, I have seen something magical.
The spark of life.
May that spark ignite joy and goodness and peace for all who bath in its light.
Amen!
Beautiful! God's creation is overwhelmingly beautiful.
This is gorgeous.
